In 2016, the Prize will be awarded for an outstanding published study of an emerging socio-legal scholar. The Study may be in the form of a book, an article or a series of articles. Candidates are eligible if they have published one or more significant works within 10 years of their doctorate. Publications can be in any language. For works in languages other than those known by the prize committee, the nominations should ideally provide selected translations. It is desirable, but not essential, that nominees are members of RCSL. Previous winners of this prize have been Iker Barbero (2014), Fatima Kastner and Stefan Larsson (2012), Flora di Donato (2010), Liora Israël (2008) and Kiyoshi Hasegawa (2006).

Nominations of emerging socio-legal scholars are invited for the 2016 Podgòrecki Prize. They require support from at least two members of the RCSL and must include:

・the candidate’s CV

・a short statement from each nominator on the value of the candidate’s work

・copies of relevant publications.

The members of the 2016 Podgòrecki Prize Committee are Professor Ralf Rogowski (Chair, United Kingdom), Professor Antonio Azuela (México) and Professor Weidong Ji (China) .

Nominations should be sent to the Chair of the Committee, Ralf Rogowski: r.rogowski@warwick.ac.uk to be received by 15 March 2016. The prize will be awarded at the ISA Forum in Vienna on 10-14 July 2016.
