The Research Committee on Sociology of Law of the International Sociological Association celebrates this year an extraordinary historical event for the whole community of socio-legal scholars: the 50th Anniversary of its Foundation.

We have the pleasure to invite you to participate in the ISA-RCSL Jubilee Ceremonial Conference, that will take place in Warsaw, from 19th to 21st October 2012, at the University of Warsaw Main Campus. The Conference is devoted to recall the outstanding scientific activity as well as to honor the unique personality of two RCSL Members to whom we owe a great deal of the academic recognition, cultural refinement and institutional achievements of our disciplinary fieldwork : Adam Podgorecki, de facto first Promoter and Father Founder of the RCSL, and Renato Treves, First RCSL President.
